Soul mates | Confessions of a Stoic [confession 1] by Stephen A. Dantes

I fell in love with what she used to be;
And fell in ‘like’ with how she ‘did’ to me,
Honestly.
Now she claims she ain’t used to me
And foolishly
I watched her walk loose of me
Releasing the hold of her heart from me,
But ‘starts’ aren’t just for show, see
I know that I once fell completely,
How did we get here, is far beyond me.

She speaks truthfully,
And me, well,
I’m used to me,
Silent and salient, it’s spoof to me.
She used to love for free,
She changed, and me…,
Well, I guess I was never a clarity.
We lacked transparency,
Or did we just try too hard too quickly,
Like trying to the death of we?

I fell for what she did to me,
And how she set me free…
Honesty?
Well let’s talk loyalty, and royalty;
Stupidly, I made her all of me
And when she turned to be short of me,
I placed a wall round me,
As tall as her eyes could see,
And still, I expected her to stay loving me,
Completely.

But how selfish can one be
To shut doors and windows
Yet expect another to see
In which reality,
In which reality?
Now she’s free of me
Walks to love and stay clear of we,
Bet she doesn’t think of me
Probably has no memory of what we used to be,
Probably.

But things aren’t what they used to be,
And they don’t mean the same to me,
Even when stuff comes like news to me,
It never erases,
It never erases,
It never erases what she means to me,
It may have been choice to walk free from she,
And may as well remain a calamity,
But I’m not man enough to admit to me,
That my love was “maybe” not meant to be.

See, unconditionally I fell in love with what she used to be,
And I adored what she did to me,
And when she stopped hiding her inward-ly,
I saw a part that looked just like me,
Now, she walks to love and stay clear of me,
But my mom thinks differently,
She said that good things come to those who wait,
So say I, with less profundity,
I’m still waiting, mummy,
I’m still waiting, patiently.
